Our mission involves the protection of individuals from falling victim to scams while actively pursuing and exposing those responsible for fraudulent activities. Our technology infrastructure plays a vital role in achieving these goals.
Position Overview:
As a Social Media Liaison at the Verification Unit, you will play a crucial role in our mission to engage with our online community. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing direct communications on our social media channels, directing informants and victims to the right resources, and coordinating internally with relevant VU teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Engagement:
Monitor and engage with our online community, responding to direct messages, comments, and mentions.
Direct informants, victims, and other stakeholders to the appropriate resources or teams within VU.
Coordinate with internal teams when complicated cases arise that require specialized attention.
Operational Tasks:
Enter scammer information received via direct messages into our work platform.
Ensure posts where VU gets mentioned are recognized and handled appropriately.
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in managing social media accounts.
Knowledge of current social media trends and best practices.
Collaboration and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to adjust strategies as needed.
Additional Information:
This position is volunteer-based, and no monetary compensation is provided.
Social Media Liaisons should be available to dedicate an average of 10-15 hours per week to fulfil their responsibilities effectively.
Training and guidance will be provided to help Social Media Liaisons excel in their role.
